Free Studio is a software collection that comprises multiple applications to work with different types of media, such as audio, images and video. One of the main advantages of these programs is that all of them are available for free.
Being a suite of applications, Free Studio does not have a single user interface. However, there is an initial screen that works as the starting point or menu where you can find the different utilities. This has an elegant minimalist design with some nice animations. It divides the tools into various categories according to their function: YouTube, MP3 & Audio, CD, DVD & BD, DVD & Video, Photo & Images, Mobiles, Apple Devices and 3D. Each of these categories opens into a submenu from where you can access the applications. Unluckily, some of the interfaces of the applications do not share similar design elements, which reduces the sense of unity among them. In fact, some of them are so differently designed that they seem not to belong to the same package.
Describing each of the more than forty applications here could be definitely impossible. Instead, I will tell you that, as you have probably inferred from the categories mentioned above, there are tools to download, convert and upload files to YouTube. Some utilities can convert between audio formats, extract audio from video or rip audio CDs while others can create, edit and burn audio and video discs. You will also find video editors and converters, photo and image editors and screen recorders. A group of applications will convert your media files to formats supported by specific devices, including those developed by Apple. Finally, others will allow you to create 3D videos and images.
As described above, this suite covers practically every need related to manipulating media files. The applications included are easy to use and effective. Perhaps as individual tools, they are not as sophisticated as we may wish and they certainly lack advantages present in other programs of the same type; however, in general, Free Studio is a worth-installing suite.
